Hi everyone! Welcome to my first EVER Friday Five!!
Friday Five
The five for Friday stand for:
1. Freebie
2. Find
3. Funny
4. Frazzle
5. Feature
Once a month, I will post a Friday Five and include a freebie (or two), something interesting I found, something funny, something I was frazzled about, and a Friday feature of someone who pins regularly on my collaborative Pinterest board.

My find is a recipe that looks Delish!!
Home-made Rolo Turtles...I must attempt to make these this week!!
I found this recipe on Pinterest, but I went straight to the source in order to share this with you. Just click the image to travel to another  blog-ish site called, So Wonderful, So Marvelous!

Not sure where this one came from, but please let me know if you know... I wasn't going to post this first one, but I just loved it...it sounds exactly like my kids right now~ There are no initials on the image that I can see either, so I would LOVE to know who the artist is!!

 I would love to see what funnies you have come across... please share links (-;

No SPAM - I will ban you from my blog - so don't even tempt me..

Family Funnies:
Okay, so you are all aware of my other half and his recent handy Mr. Fix-it repairs. If not, you might want to go back a few blog posts and catch up.

It seems as though all of our appliances are breaking down at the same time. This past week, it was the oven! We couldn't have that & I convinced my husband to call another company out. He searched Craigslist (I won't even bother to get in to that topic) and found a handy-man company. When they arrived, we found out that they were also an HVAC company....hahahaha... I don't think that could have been any more embarrassing than it was..being that we OWN a Heating and Air Conditioning company in Arizona!! hahaha. I think that may have jostled him a bit too much, because he has been fixing EVERYTHING lately...even the smallest things and then running to me and insisting that I give him affirmation for his success...hahaha...OH BOY..... I don't think I will ever lose that teachery role....even when I am not teaching..hahaha

FraZzLeD!
In the midst of this month (actually, almost the end of it really), I am embarrassed to admit that I am not done with all of my shopping. This winter has been tight; however, I can't say that it is as bad as last winter - thank you, Lord! Christmas seems to get less and less exciting each year as the kids get older. All my kids really want is money, but I like to see presents under the tree! I am thinking about psyching everyone out and wrapping a bunch of empty boxes under the tree to make it look more festive..hahaha

We have a tradition in my house for Christmas Eve. We make hot cocoa with candy canes (for extra flavor of course), and the kids get to open ONE gift. They know exactly what their gift is, but they still get excited EVERY year. I have used the same tin cans to wrap their Christmas Eve present in every year for a VERY LONG time now.  I also include a couple fun chinky dollar items, like a silly flashlight. They like to wear their jammies, snuggle up on the couch and listen as I read, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, to them.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Mass Paperback -
By: Barbara Robinson, Judith Gwyn Brown

It takes about an hour or two to get through, but we all cry every year! If you have never read this book, then I suggest you give it a try this year. I promise, you will fall in LoVe!! I guess if I can just make sure we keep some traditions, my kids will survive and I will still get to enjoy a few more years getting to watch their excitement!

This week's feature from my collaborative Pinterest Board:

To Celebrate the Christmas spirit, here is a really cute reindeer game that was posted to the board last week by a cute teacher blogger who calls herself, Clearly Kindergarten (AKA Sarah).
At only $1.50, you can't go wrong!! The game is very simple, yet full of cuteness and a  Sneaky Sort of Santa that lurks in the midst of the other word cards and steals the reindeer away when chosen....

Game to practice reading words in the -it, -at, and -an word families. My students love to play these games!
She has a cute TpT store and it appears like she might be just getting started. Her blog is cute and full of ideas! Please check her out if you happen to feel the need to obsessively follow a few more TpT stores and/or blogs..haha

Sarah used the following sets in this resource. Feel free to check them out by clicking on the images below.

Thank you for stopping by - I hope you have enjoyed this Friday Five!!

  5. Friday 5 is such a cute idea! I haven't finished Christmas shopping yet, either. We got all of the kid gifts, but have to go back out over the next few days and get gift cards and a few little items.

    1. I thought it was cute too... there were many other ones I so badly wanted to share, but no one ever puts any information about the artist or where they got the image from & I feel so uncomfortable posting stuff that may get me into trouble..hahaha

P.S. You are added!! Thank you!
