Back 2 School: Supply List Clip Art Collection is.....READY & some Freebies...

My new clip art set is finally finished!! Woo Hoo!!
As most of you might know (those on FB), I have been hard at work on this set...minus a few million other distractions of course.

Click on the image to visit my TPT store and get this set (-;

I have re-worked my pricing; although, I did not go back and increase the sets I already had up...I did not think it would be right. This set includes 137 amazingly useful teacher graphics at only 7 cents per image!!

After looking around and doing some research, I decided that I wanted about 10 -25 cents per graphic, but these larger sets seemed to get too pricey. So I re-worked some numbers for these larger bargain sets...For the next few hours (more like the next 12-24 hours) I have the set discounted 30%. Read on to find out why...

I had an FB challenge as soon as I had them up and the first person to comment got to pick a number between 1 and 5 and also won the new set for FREE.

 Congrats to Jen Ross @ The Teacher's Cauldron who was up at O' Dark O' Clock!! If you aren't following Jen's amazing blog, then you might want to check her out...she's okay...hahaha...Just kidding!! She is in my favorite top 5 blogs to read!! She has amazing resources!!

Jen was the first person to download the entire new set... & for FREE... She also picked the number 3, so I have the set discounted 30% for the next 12-24 hours
(although I wrote 5 hours on FB, but I make my own rules, right??).

I did not include all of the black outline versions in the preview, but they are included in the set, along with a few extras you don't see in the preview.

Onto other top news.... I never go shopping at Old Navy...well, it has literally been about 3 years since I stepped foot in there. After they went and strayed to the "WTH is that" clothing line...I just kept to my favorite two stores...Express & Anthropology!!! My fav's where I can buy WITHOUT having to try the clothes on!!!
Well, last week while I was getting things ready for the AZ blog meet up...

Which by the way is on July 10th people & we need more RSVP's...

I was freaking out about what to wear...not really, well...okay I was... It gets soo hot here in AZ that I just wear a bathing suit and a cover up all summer long...and now I am going to have to wear something......

Being that we are in Buckeye (an hour from any mall) and I hate driving around when it is 120 degrees outside, I chose to take a little visit to Old Navy....

SHAZAM!!!

I ended up buying three sundresses (along with some other tanks and skirts)

I even found one to match my favorite blue shoes!! Here it is...

And yes, those are band-aids wrapped around the heel strap...I am human....and those things are super cute on my feet, but give me blisters. I think I will trademark this idea....it worked really well...hahaha! The cute ruffly bandanna dress was cute too!!

They were each about $25-30, but I got the tanks and skirts for less than $7 bucks each...woo hoo!! I think I might like Old Navy again...
Plus, there seems to always be a handsome gay guy & a cute teenage girl with a squeaky voice who make you feel like EVERYTHING looks great...that helped too...hehehe. After 3 years, I think the same people work there and they haven't even aged....

Here is that bandanna dress up close...so cute, light and easy to put on...
I got this one too
You can;t really see the pattern, so here is a close up...it is really dainty, but if you happen to buy this dress...do not stick it in the dryer...even for a minute!!

HVAC update: It has been busy, so you will have to hear about it...LOL
here is a pic of my FAVORITE employee, Arnold!!! He may not look like he could handle this line of work, but this guy is the best!! He can troubleshoot, work in the heat with no complaints, complete clean and beautiful work...but somehow...can't work a computer...go figure...hehehe..

He is an ALL-In-ONE employee and I thought I would give him a shout out; although, I don't think he follows my blog or even uses his computer...(-; It's the thought that counts, right?
Thank you Arnold for all of your hard work! You are the BEST!! (but you're not getting a raise...JK...LOL)
I actually took this picture and he held this unit (about 1000 lbs) up by himself with his leg while my husband connected the duct under neath....I can't watch that kind of stuff because I turn into the mother hen....

Well, I thought I might share some other things I do. While working on graphics today and chatting to all of you on FB, I also answer our business line and schedule appointments, give directions and whatever else I have going on.

Today I answered the phone and took a call for a guy that wanted to get a new condenser installed to replace the one that was stolen from the house he just purchased. I answered all of his technical questions and gave him advice and tips, then set an appointment for the guys to look at his place before the end of the day. My husband called me after he had gone over there and said that the guy chose our company...not because we were the lowest price, but because he was very impressed by my knowledge and how nice I was...hehehe....GO ME!!

Although, my husband asked if I was flirting...which I would NEVER (how dare he...)..because when he gave the guy our card to call and give us the best time for the install, I guess he asked if I would be answering that line as well...hahahahaha!!! My husband responded by saying, "oh yes, my WIFE will answer that phone...hehehe. I am more patient than him and I explain things to customers without using jargon...which is why they all like me.
Now to end the HVAC talk, here is a pic to close the deal....this fan motor burned up so bad that the wires melted!!! Glad that wasn't my A/C... just sayin'

Here are some freebies to ease your eyes from reading...LOL!!

Plus also, I will be putting up another mystery set on July 4th!! So watch out!! I decided that I will do a mystery set once a week (-;
These are just some of the images that caused me to procrastinate...now they are yours. Please read my Terms of Use before using my graphics..

thank you so much for visiting and for your support!!

 this was a reject marker because it has purple at the very bottom...I didn't want it to go to waste...(-;

This next one is a hint as to what might be in the mystery mini set for tomorrow (-;

  4. Thanks for the freebies! The new set looks great!
    Oh, how I miss AZ. We lived in Phoenix for a year while my hubby went to UTI. I *loved* the weather but was not crazy about the big city life! Now we live in a town with population 150 (maybe) - HA!

  9. The finds from ON are super cute! I can't wait to see what you wear at the meet up! :)
    Would it be possible to have a mini set of the school supplies!???
    I don't think I would ever use all of the colors and 10 dollars is a bit pricey for me {your work is amazing tho!!!}
    I love the dry erase markers and the tissue box!!! I really do love it all but I can't justify paying 10 bucks for it ;)

    See ya next week!!

    1. I completely understand what you are saying...here is my thinking on this

      I have thought a lot about pricing over the last few months and I have completed quite a bit of research on other artists who sell clip art. The typical price is about $4.50 for 12 images, which equals to be about .38 cents per graphic.

      At $10.00 for a set of 137 graphics, you are paying .7cents per graphic, which I think is very reasonable for that many images.

      Here is my reasoning for pricing that I sort of worked out in an email this morning...I am sure that friend was not expecting to get a reply that included my inner thinkings at the moment...hahaha

      1. The set is on sale right now for 7.00 (that is .5 cents per graphic). At 10.00, that is 7 cents per image...
      2. I put in over 100 hours creating this clip art (that works out to less than 1 cent an hour...yikes)
      3. I do not require that teachers pay extra for a license to use the graphics in products they sell...
      4. On average, teachers on TPT are placing units up for sale (using my graphics) for $5.00 (average overall on priced items). They would only have to sell two items in order to make their money back and they would continue to use the graphics for many other paid items that will build revenue. SO many resources can be created using just one clip art set...

      5. I offer daily free clip art images & I put many hours into the free items as well as the paid items...

      6. I also need to make a living.

      7.Many sellers don't even need to put very much effort into making some of the products up for sale (in comparison to the art...that is...all things take time and effort to sell). Many of the items are flashcards with letters and pictures, so all that is needed is to organize and/or create a background (usually with my free images), use one of my graphics on each card and type a word or letter...and they are making money off of that. This does irritate me a little (not enough to change TOU because I would have done the exact same thing...and I have while teaching) just because when sellers do this, they are basically only adding a letter font and re-selling my graphics to others...I don't complain though - like I said..I have created the same types of files and they are very useful and necessary resources in any classroom. (-;

      I have decided to break up the set into smaller sets, but it will end up costing more if you want to purchase the other graphics in the long run. I can't discount a small set the way I can on a larger set.

      I hope this helps a little.....

      I am really lookinf forward to the AZ blog meet up and I literally have so much planning I need to get done!!

      (-;

  12. Michelle,

    These are terrific! I totally agree with you about your pricing, by the way. You are working your tail off (obviously) and for that, I am grateful.
