What R You Doing for F-Day??

We went to World Market yesterday - my favorite store to walk out with nothing...but a bag of 3rd world, un-identifiable candy.

I did see this, however, and I am going to start a mural....it has been a while indeed!! Okay...ignore the wine and look at the top of the pic where the canvases are. I am not sure if you can really see it (don't hate on me...I am short-feet tall remember?). It is a pic of a ton of little Italy windows!! I love it!!! I am taking the idea and putting it on my front hallway wall. The wine is pretty too. And no. I am not worried about copyright people...because I am going to draw and paint my own vision of windows...just taking the IDEA...which cannot be trademarked...hehehe
Then on the way back, we had a monsoon (the first of the season) roll in and, for some reason, I felt the need to take pics of my neighborhood...and look what I spotted???

AN HOA OFFENDER PEOPLE!!!!! I know where you are...hahaha. Our streets are designed to be so narrow that the HOA people THINK that we can't squeeze cars on the side....but we always find a way to break the rules....I mean...here is a perfect example (-;

Here are a few other meaningless pics of my neighborhood in Arizona...(although, my neighborhood does not look like we are in AZ...you will have to wait for the pic I took while we were leaving World Market).

Below...you will see a snapshot of Founder's Park....My favorite park to read in...

Here is another one of Founder's Park...but oh wait...do I see something else here in this little pic as well??

Why, YES I DO....my hubber's nose...hehehe (he is going to kill me...but I have a plan). Yes, his nose is large and in charge...but don't hate people...because that is not the only thing that is large...hahahaha!! (there is my father's day gift to him...)

Above...you will notice a long street..beautiful indeed (minus the dust in the air and the bird poo on our window). This...My friends, is what we call, MAIN STREET! This is where the ALMOST rich people live in Verrado. They would have been the rich, but a locked area, right on Verrado way took that position and snatched it right up with custom mansions...you almost had it..main streeter's.

Now for the Grand Finale!! Here is the entrance to my street...WALTON...(not as pretty as main street). We are surrounded by mostly retired people...I can't complain...it is very quiet. Our neighbor was the inventor of fire-proof rubber!! Say what??? I am not sure, but he is super sweet, he retired in his late 20's, and bought is house in cash...just sayin.... (-;
This is Good Ol', Walton Drive!! We are right behind Main Streeter's and I am getting quite annoyed by their lack of attention to their over-growing trees that have created a 5 inch layer of mulch everywhere in our yard.... We actually call it the mystery floor covering because when you step on it, it bounces and you never know what is underneath that layer....well, I will tell you bluntly...at night, our streets are taken over by cockroaches!!! Giant ones at that. (Yes, even wealthy people encounter bugs my friends...you learn something new everyday). You can always tell who doesn't really belong in the neighborhood by how may cockroaches are scattering around the house at night (hahaha). We, on the other hand. do have a spray service..(not because we belong, but because we HATE scorpions more than we love money). Although, we still see them at night coming out of the mystery ground cover.

OH IT IS SOOOOOOO GROSS!!!

 Last night, we took a walk really late and those suckers were coming out of the sewer access holes....Gives me the heebie-jeebies!! (that is a slang word, so spelling errors don't count)

F-Day Plans...

Well, My husband is working this morning...ON FATHER"S DAY!! I guess people still need Air conditioning on holidays too...boo..hahaha. He actually won't be working for very long. Our kids are still in California with his parents, so we were trying to figure out what we were going to do today & apparently...he wants to go furniture shopping....interesting!! We are going to look at getting a new bedroom set (we desperately need one).

It is one of those things that always gets pushed to the side. Every time I see that commercial...you know, the one where the guy is talking about what nasty things your mattress holds as it gets older? I really believe that commercial should be banned...my mattress is super old and I don't want to have to think about what is in it...I HAVE TO SLEEP THERE GUY....be a little more sensitive...hahaha

I also truly despise the commercials that start off normal and then out of  nowhere, an almost naked woman pops out and starts touching herself or shaking her crotch in 85% of the screen! (this is why we stopped our cable service...but apparently, it is now free). I already know what a va-jay-jay looks like...and...I know I did not order a lap dance... am I somehow getting a free lap-dance from Fox????

Seriously women! Have a little more respect for yourself and for others.

 Yes, women hold an unstoppable force of power in a small spot between their legs...but SERIOUSLY...PROTECT YOUR POWER LADIES!! If you give that up, you have no bargaining chips for when you get married!!!

And what is it with teenage girls in AZ in the summer time???

"Yeah...it's summer and it's hot! I don't have to wear panties..and wait...let me put on this wash cloth and call it a mini skirt!!"

I love my daughter even more everyday!!

But Anywho...We get to go look for a new bed today!! I am decorating our bedroom in the very clean beachy theme (white, pale blue, a hint of canary yellow and a splash of red...B-E-A-utiful!!) I bet you we will end up with a leather recliner....just sayin' I think when we actually get to that furniture store...and being that it IS F-day...he might change his mind and let me buy something for him for once...not that the mattress is not for both if us...but shouldn't he be spoiled a little???

This is the bed we want to get...(not the rest of the furniture). The one we found actually has drawers in the foot of the bed, but I couldn't right click and save that pic...to protect my name...here is the link where I snagged this puppy...

  1. Hahaha you are too funny Michelle!

    Your bedroom sounds like it is going to be fabulous when it is done! You definitely need to post pics.

    Your streets are narrow! In my neighborhood we have cars left and right everywhere lol.

  3. Everything about this post cracks me right me up!! Except maybe the part about streets being taken over by cockroaches...I really don't do well with any bug but I by far hate them the most so that part is no laughing matter. White furniture is my favorite!! I recently found you blog through Dana's giveaway and I'm already loving it!
