WORK, but don't forget to LIVE & an Up for Grabs Pizza Fraction GIVEAWAY!!!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!! I am writing today to tell you all that I will be taking some time away from custom orders.

Now that you are all done imagining throwing a pie in my face (lol), let me do a little "es-plaining"...

I am planning to take about 2 months to step back, re-group, and complete some projects that I have placed on the back burner for a  long time.

Don't get me wrong... I LOVE doing blog design and custom work; however, the demands can often be overwhelming for one person. I feel like I have neglected my family and my health and I don't seem to be moving  forward. Sometimes, I feel like everything else is moving... people, friends, kids, TIME... and I am only watching it all pass....

I recently came across this quote/typography art by Sean Wes & I decided to make this my screen saver... hahaha!

This does not mean that I will not be working!! HAHA.. FAT chance!! I will use this time to FINALLY... complete my website and work on some other projects that I have been wanting to do. I will also get time to post and read more blogs!! I MISS reading all of your blog posts!! I believe that stepping back for a bit will be good for me and good for all of you as well!!

So, the custom order links and forms will be disabled for the time being... and I will let you know when I will be back open for requests... I am sure that will be a very busy day indeed...hahaha

I will continue to accept custom button orders just to appease your creative bursts!! hahaha I hope you are all not completely upset with me.... (-; I will be preparing for the back to school rush and I am sure you will be happy when I reveal some of the finished work from the ideas that have been floating in my head... ha! I can't wait to get started!!

Now for a few new things I was able to squeeze in before I ran into Norton/Windows conflicts, which by the way, had me down and out of operation for nearly 3 DAYS!!! After reading Norton forum after Norton forum....and finding NO solutions that actually made any sense at all....., I put my brain to work and figured out the problem myself...My solution will make for a GREAT Tech post I'm sure!!! But in the meantime, here is what I have been working on....

Please make sure to read the disclaimer in the image below.... hahaha

If you're not hungry yet... the following images might just do the trick!! hahaha!!
I decided to separate the pizza parts from the fractions for those of you who may not need the fractions. These sets took quite a bit of effort, but the pizza looks almost real enough to nibble on..haha

I am not a big pizza eater.... however, my favorite pizza includes a FOUR-CHEESE blend, pepperoni, and banana peppers!! hahaha...

  5. My coworker loves peanut butter...I mean LOVES. He puts it on everything. Including pizza. We ordered pizza with money our students made from returning pop cans and shared it between our two classrooms. He took his piece of pepperoni pizza...and slathered it with peanut butter. I almost gagged.

I, personally, love broccoli on my pizza. Which I thought was completely strange until I tried it!

  7. The most bizarre combinations I have heard of are from Japan, where they routinely feature squid, boiled potato, mayonnaise and other tasty combinations. And the 'American' pizza has canned corn on it!

  9. My hubby LOVES making unique pizzas. The most interesting/bizarre (depending on how you look at it) was leftover Pulled Pork Pizza. Most of what he makes turns out to be pretty yummy! I know what we are having for dinner now that I've scrolled through the delicious looking clip art, lol.

"kitchen sink" pizza -- crust, sauce, and empty the fridge of leftovers! Not for the faint of heart, I guess.

  11. Good luck with your hiatus, Michelle. Since I started on TpT six months ago, I can really relate. I sit at my computer way more than I should...watching life pass me by. I have managed to get outside and enjoy my family and friends a bit more this summer. It really does energize the spirit to take a break!

  12. Have you ever heard of the $1000 a slice pizza? Apparently, it has caviar and lobster on it.

My personal favorite is Hawaiian pizza. I, also, like BBQ Chicken pizza.

  13. OH Boy! What we do to ourselves! I tried and tried to push through what I thought (and convinced myself) was a tough cold. Then, I thought I had broken some ribs from coughing so hard and I couldn't breathe. I asked to go get an X-ray on Valentine's Day, and I ended up in ICU with severe pneumonia! I had a BAD CASE and needed lung surgery. I was out of school for two months. So take the time. I want to keep that quote up so that it becomes my mantra! I need to remind myself to LIVE and to LIVE, I have to BREATHE and strengthen my lungs!!! OK, so here's the weirdest combo. I loved it though. It was a Cheeseburger Pizza with a sauce that was like a Bob's Big Boy Thousand Island sauce. It was like In'n'OUt on a Pizza! :) Relax, get back to those who matter the most. I'm working on a pin URL, but I'm not sure what that means! :)

  14. I hear you about that Norton/Windows mess.. I never did figure out what to do with it so I uninstalled Norton and it fixed the problem.. I'd love to know how you did it! Love the pizzas by the way!

  15. Wow Michelle these are awesome! I can totally understand the need to take a hiatus. I'm actually in such utter awe at how all of the amazing teacher bloggers are able to blog everyday and create products on a seemingly daily basis and still have a life. I can't even seem to accomplish a quarter of that and sometimes it makes me feel terrible and that I need to step away from the blogging, pinterest, facebook and instagram (technology). I will certainly miss your posts but I'm so glad you are taking care of YOU!! :o) The weirdest pizza topping I've ever seen was clams and bacon (no I didn't try it -ewww).
